Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Chad Chelsvig was born on March 16, 1984 in Ames to Ricky and Kimberly (Wheeler)Chelsvig. He married Jessica Solberg on September 1, 2017. He was a graduate of Roland-Story High School and worked for Weiss Tree Service. Chad was a lifelong resident of the Story City area and a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting, but his great joy in life was being a dad.

Chad passed away July 8, 2018 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames at the age of 34.

Chad is survived by his wife, Jessica of Roland; daughter, Ivy; stepson, Jordan; brother, Joe (Kim) Chelsvig of Story City; mother, Kim Wheeler of Iowa Falls; four nephews, Ben, Christian and Dawson Chelsvig and Cole Anderson; niece, Savannah Jensen; grandmothers, Irene Chelsvig of Story City and Joan Wheeler of Iowa Falls; his in-laws, Butch and Nancy Solberg of Jewell; two sister-in-laws, Andrea Jensen of Jewell and Jenna (Alan) Anderson of Ankeny and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ricky; his grandfather, Dale Chelsvig and uncles, Larry Osmundson and Richard Chelsvig.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial been established in his name.
