Donna Gail Kammin was born on February 4, 1933 in Story City, Iowa to Arvie and Nora (Fardal) Jacobson. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Donna graduated from Story City High School and received her teaching degree from Waldorf College. She married DeWayne Kammin on February 1, 1953. He died July 28, 2011.

Donna was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church throughout her entire life. She sang in the choir, was involved in ladies aide and taught Sunday School. Donna was also very community minded. She was a member of Questers, PEO and volunteered at Bethany Manor. The most important thing to Donna was her family and attending all of their activities.

Donna passed away July 7, 2018 at Bethany Manor in Story City at the age of 85.

She is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Don) Braathun and Cindy Blomberg both of Story City; a son, Chad Kammin of Des Moines; 6 grandchildren, Jessica Blomberg, Jacob (Mercedes) Blomberg, Jon Braathun, Vikrant Sharma, Stephanie (Bryan) Millard and Stacey (Rob) Galey and 5 great grandsons, Jakoby, Andy, Alex, Kinnick and Kaden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, DeWayne and three brothers, Paul (Bud), Richard, and Allan.
