CHRIS OMVIG DIED TUESDAY NIGHT

STORY CITY PIONEER FOLLOWED HIS WIFE WHO DIED TWO WEEKS AGO

Story City, March 28--Chris Omvig, 34, a resident of this part of Iowa since the early '60s and of Story City since 1907, died at his home here Thursday night, just two weeks following the death of his wife.

Death was caused by an attack of pneumonia.

Mr. Omvig, a native of Norway came out to Iowa in an early and located on a farm over the line in Hamilton county, where he lived until 1907, when they returned and moved into Story City, where the family home hs since been.

The wife passing away about two weeks ago. Mr. Omvig leaves seven sons, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, besides a wide circle of friends.

The sons are Lars, Jens and Albert of Story City, Hans of Des Moines, Chris of Spirit Lake and Ole and Tom of Mylo, N. D.

The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at Immanuel church, after which interment will be in the Story City cemetery by the side of his good wife, who but preceded him in death such a short time.
