JOHN NAUGHTON DIED WEDNESDAY

FATHER OF LOCAL MAN PASSED AWAY AT ST. THOMAS HOSPITAL

J. J. Naughton, 69, died at St. Thomas hospital, Marshalltown, Wednesday afternoon at 4:00, after a lingering illness of several months, according to word received by relatives in Nevada. The deceased was the father of Ray Naughton of the Dick's Department store of this city.

Funeral services will be held in Marshalltown Friday morning at 9:30, at St. Mary's church, after which the body will be taken to Chicago where burial will be at Calvary cemetery Saturday morning.

John Joseph Nughton was born at Madison, Ind., Jan. 26, 1861. He was united in marriage with Alice Donavan Dec. 29, 1897. Mrs. Naughton passed away Dec. 8 1917.

He is survived by his six children, Margaret, Edward, Marie, Raymond and John Naughton and Mrs. Leo Wilkie.
