Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Winifred Ann Stein was born on January 17, 1932 to Frederick and Faye (Tilton) Stein. She attended Ames High School and graduated in 1950.

Winnie grew up raising chickens, tap dancing and roller skating. She married Duane Goodmanson and to this union four children were raised. Winnie later married Max Strain and Bufford Johnson. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Winnie moved to Bickford of Ames in September of 2016, where she loved spending time with the cat Samantha and playing games with all her friends at Bickford.

Winnie passed away June 13, 2018 at Bickford Cottage in Ames at the age of 86.

Winnie is survived by four children, Larry (Sonji) Goodmanson of Ankeny, Vicki (Joe) Grandgeorge of Fulda, MN, Jim Goodmanson of Randall and Ron (Kim) Goodmanson of Roland; six grandchildren, Kyle, Leah, Diana, Nancy, Susan and Jason; five great grandchildren, Eli, Mic, Ty, Abram, and Lydia and a great nephew, Brian Moreland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt Mabel Matthews and uncle Otis Matthews.
