Josephine “Jo” Davis, of Nevada, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at her home in Nevada.

Jo was born December 11, 1935, in Atkinson, Nebraska the daughter of Frank and Josephine (Ziska) Noziska. On April 8, 1958, she was united in marriage to Clinton Davis in Atkinson, Nebraska. Jo was a homemaker and later worked in the elementary school kitchen in Nevada. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Immaculata Study Club and Women of the Moose. Jo enjoyed dancing, traveling, collecting stamps and puzzles. She was her grandchildren’s biggest fan and enjoyed supporting them in their many activities.

Jo is survived by her children: Vicki (Tim) Barker of Cambridge, LuAnn (Mike) Jamison of Nevada and Rodney Davis of Nevada; her grandchildren: Sydney Barker, Abigail Jamison, Trevor (Amanda) Davis, John (Courtney) Jamison, Chad Jamison, Tarah Davis and Ryanne Barker; her great-grandchildren: Gia Dale and Gerard Davis; and her sister, Marge Petersen of O’Neill, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her brother, Bill Noziska.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 24 at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 25 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (1110 11th Street) in Nevada with Father Rick Dagit officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Nevada.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
