Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Robert E. "Bobbo" Palmer, 68, of Marshalltown, formerly of Ames and Nevada, passed away April 23, 2018. Memorial services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9 at Adams Funeral Home in Ames. Burial of his cremated remains will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Robert Eugene Palmer was born August 29, 1949 to Paul E. and Althea M. (Brandriet) Palmer in Deadwood, South Dakota. He graduated from Ames High School in 1967 and operated Palmer Automotive and Customs. Bobbo then worked at Almaco in Ames and Nevada He had a passion for all things mechanical from building motorcycles to racing. He also enjoyed gunsmithing, hunting, taxidermy, and tattooing.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Julie Palmer; his father, Paul Palmer; his brother, Douglas (Kay) Palmer; and three nieces, Amy Palmer, Michelle Palmer and Lisa (Brandon) Davidson.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Althea; and his brother, Thomas Palmer

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests performing a random act of kindness in his honor.
