Neva Jean Jacobson
November 21, 1924 - April 10, 2018

Neva was born on November 21, 1924 in Champaign, Illinois to Oscar and Neva (Garrick) Hall. She married Stanton Jacobson on October 6, 1946. He died August 17, 1987. She worked for many years as a legal secretary for the J.C. Brekken Law Firm. Neva was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling, embroidering for the Bethany Life Gift Shop and volunteering of RSVP. Neva dearly loved her grandchildren and animals at the Animal Rescue League in Des Moines.

Neva passed away April 10, 2018 at Bethany Manor in Story City at the age of 93.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jacobson of Ames and Martha Jacobson of Arvada, CO; a son, Tom Jacobson of Great Falls, Montana; two grandchildren, Rachael and Tanner and two sisters, Helen Triplett of Mesa, AZ and Shirley Comeaux of Northfield, MN.

Neva was preceded in death by her parents; husband and sister, Mary Margaret Mourlam.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Animal Rescue League in Des Moines.
