Charles Bordwell, 81 of Zearing and formerly of Webster City, Iowa passed away at Zearing Health Care Center on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. A graveside service will be held in the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City, Iowa on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 1 p.m.
Charles was born November 23, 1936 to Albert and Francis (Smith) Bordwell in Livermore, Iowa. He attended school in Livermore, Iowa. Following school Charles joined the Air Force. After returning home after the service Charles married Delores A. Raner. The couple had two boys are resided in Hamilton and Webster Counties most of their lives. Charles worked as a farmer and for the railroad. He loved go dancing and to take car rides with Delores. He also enjoyed farming, fishing, traveling, and riding in Steve's tow truck.
Charles is survived by his son Steve (Jennifer) Bordwell; grandchildren Joslyn Bordwell, Alivia Bordwell, Shelby Froh, Shawna Froh, Stephanie Froh, Casey Bordwell, Amber McKenna, Caleb McKenna, and Aaron Lucas; great-grandchildren Logan, Ethan, Trevor, Caden, Jordan, Jayden, Dakota, Graceland, Sophia, Jaelah, Aria, Claryisa, and Madison; sisters Lavina Kvitli, and Karen Smidke; brothers Rich Bordwell, and Tom Bordwell; many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son Daniel Bordwell.
