Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Michael Larson, 43, of Ames, passed away November 11, 2017. Memorial services will be at 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 27 at Adams Funeral Home in Ames. The family will receive friends two hours prior the service. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Michael James Larson was born December 13, 1973 to Paul and Linda (Tendall) Larson in Ames, Iowa. Michael graduated in 1992 from Ames High School and went on to earn an Associates of Arts Degree from DMACC in 1994 and a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in 2000, both in History. He worked in the grocery department at Cubs Foods, Dahl's, and then Wal-Mart. He enjoyed science fiction, whether it was in books, movies or video games. Michael was a fan of ISU basketball and football, and the Chicago Bulls. Michael was a helpful, loyal, and quiet person.

Michael is survived by his parents, Paul and Linda Larson of Ames; his sister, Angela (Bamshad) Mobaske of Oak Park, Ill.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his uncle, David Larson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the family.

Adams Funeral Home in Ames is assisting the family with arrangements.
