OBITUARY
MRS. RASMUS LARSON
Mrs. Rasmus Larson died Wednesday, December 3rd, at her home north of Nevada. She had been a sufferer for about two years, had been for a time at the Sanitarium in Nevada and at the home of her daughter Mrs. Farni, but a that could be done afforded only temporary help. Her death came as above stated. Mrs. Larson was born in Denmark in the town of Syni in 1868, came with her brother, Hans S. Hansen of Ames, to the United States in 1886 locating first in Story City, was marred June 17th, 1887 to Rasmus Larson and has since lived at their farm home north of Nevada. Ten children were born to them, seven of whom survive her. She leaves besides her husband, her aged mother in Denmark, two sisters, one brother, her seven children: Andrew Larson, Sophia Larson Farni, Hans, Emma, Albert, Arthur and Irene, and one grandchild, all of whom are of Nevada.
She became a member of the Lutheran church in Denmark and during her residence in this country has bee a faithful member of the Evangelical Lutheran church. She was a woman of excellent traits, a devoted wife, mother and friend. Her funeral will be held Saturday at two o'clock at the Methodist church. The services will be in charge of Rev. F. R. Shirck.
