OBITUARY
Zearing Pioneer Died Yesterday
Albert Rahfeldt, 96, a pioneer resident of the Zearing community, died at the Pleasant View Nursing Home at State Center yesterday at 6 pm.
Born in Canada Dec 14, 1863, Mr Rahfeldt had lived in Zearing since the age of four.
A farmer and livestock raiser, he was married in 1887 to Sarah Sperling of Marshalltown, who died in 1916.
A son, Charles, died in 1958.
Survivors include three sons, Fred of Popehoy and Eddie and Robert, both of Zearing; three daughters, Nellie, Mrs Lottie Erickson and Mrs Lydia Gull, all of Zearing; 18 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 pm from the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Zearing, with the Rev Louis Klotzbach officiating. Burial will be in the Zearing cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Brouhard Funeral Home, Zearing, until time of the service.Nevada Public Library Obituary Collection
