OBITUARY
Charles Raheldt [Rahfeldt], son of Albert and Sarah Rahfeldt, was born near Zearing Iowa on October 1, 1893 and passed away at the St Thomas Mercy Hospital in Marshalltown on August 13, 1957, where he was taken six days earlier. Death came at the age of 63 years 10 months and 13 days. Mr Rahfeldt spent his entire life farming in the community. He retired five years ago and moved to his home in Zearing.
He was united in marriage on August 16, 1916 to Isabelle Erickson. To this union were born six children. Preceding him in death were his wife who died on January 10, 1951, one daughter Wilma Joan, who died in infancy, and his mother who passed away April 9, 1916.
Survivors include on son, Bill Rahfeldt of Hubbard; four daughters, Mrs Fern Stackhouse of Des Moines, Mrs Lorraine Pille of Marshalltown, Mrs Gladys Manful of Montour, and Mrs Doris Myking of Fairmont, Minn. Also surviving are his father who is 93 years of age; four brothers and three sisters, twenty-tow grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Charles Rahlfedt, Zearing, IS Dead
ZEARING - Charles Rahfeldt, 63, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at a Marshalltown hospital where he had been a patient oft he past five days.
A retired farmer, he made his home in Zeraring.
Survivors include a son, Will, of Hubbard; four daughters, Mrs Fern Stackhouse of Des Moines, Mrs Lorraline Pille of Marshalltown, Mrs Gladys Manful of Montour and Mrs Doris Myking of Fairmont, Minn; his father, Albert of State Center; four brothers, William, Eddie, and Robert, all of Zearing and Fred of Popejoy; three sisters, Nellie of State Center and Mrs Walter Dull and Mrs Lottie Erickson, both of Zearing and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm from the Zearing Evangelical United Brethren church. The Rev D D Eller will officiate. Burial is to be in Zearing cemetery.
The Brouhard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

ZEARING - Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Evangelical United Brethren Church for Charles Rahfeldt, 63. The Rev D D Eller officiated. Burial was in the Zearing cemetery. Mr Rahfeldt died at the St Thomas Mercy Hospital in Marshalltown, Aug 13.
Pallbearers were Carl Thompson, Claude Manning, Bernard Howard, Bill Brown Sr, Edward Johnson and Wilbur Eley. Flowers were handled by Mrs K L Creka, Mrs Bernard Howard and Mrs Carl Thompson. Music was provided by a quartet including Dale Johnson, Eldon Crain, Paul Lnudy and Glen McBride. Mrs Paul Johns was accompanist.
Mr Rahfeldt was born near Zearing on Oct 1, 1893, the son of Albert and Sarah Rahfeldt. Throughout his lifetime he farmed in this community, retiring five years ago to move to his home in Zearing.
On Aug 16, 1916 he was married to Isabell Erickson. They were the parents of six children. Mrs Rahfetldt died in 1951, and a daughter, Wilma Jane, died in infancy. His mother died in 1916.
