Mrs. Margaret Michel

Mrs. Margaret Michel who had her home with her granddaughter, Mrs. J. W. Bailey, when Dr. and Mrs. Bailey had their home at Nevada, died at the Bailey home in Des Moines on June 13, having been ill for six months with cancer. Short services were held in Des Moines on June 14 and the funeral was from the Lutheran church in Iowa City on Sunday afternoon the 16th. She had lived with the Baileys over seven years.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. J. W. Bailey" was Lillian Marie Wachenfeld who married John W. Bailey 15 March 1905 in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa. The parents of Lillian Marie Wachenfeld were Henry P. Wachenfeld and Mary Michel who married 21 January 1883 at Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa. The parents of Mary Michel were Wilhelm Michel and Margaret Dodt, the deceased.
