Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Laura Jane Morgan was born on January 6, 1960 in Iowa City, Iowa to John and Marjorie (Zenger) Uitermarkt. She married Wayne Morgan on June 24, 1988. He died May 15, 2007. Laura was a secretary at Roland-Story Middle School for many years. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Roland, where she was active in many activities. Laura enjoyed quilting, showing horses and going to all of her children’s activities. She bred and raced greyhounds and was a member of the Cyclone Country Kennel Club.

Laura passed away August 5, 2017 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames at the age of 57.

Laura is survived by her two sons, Christopher of Roland and Brandon of Ames; her parents, John and Marjorie Uitermarkt of Ames and a brother, Phillip Morgan of LeSeuer, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne and an infant son, Nicholas.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
