Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Gordon Lee Stull, 77 of Gilbert passed away on July 31, at Mary Greeley Hospital, Ames surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 11, at Gilbert Lutheran Church in Gilbert, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery.

Gordon was born on September 3, 1939 to Ralph and Lucille (Shipley) Stull in Corydon, Iowa.
The family moved to Gilbert when Gordon was in 4th grade. Gordon graduated from Gilbert High School in 1957.

On November 29, 1958, Gordon was married to Alys Bailey at Grace Methodist Church in Story City, Iowa.

Gordon worked for 35 years at Iowa State University in the maintenance department of the Power Plant, retiring in September of 1996. He also farmed with his Dad north of Gilbert.

Gordon was a member of the Moose Lodge #520 in Ames and the Gilbert Tractor Club.

Gordon was an avid reader and loved to camp and going to coffee with Jocko.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Alys of Gilbert, son David (Karla) Stull of Ames, daughter Dawn (Kelly) Ringstad of Ankeny; three grandchildren, Breanna (Jon) Lewis of Baxter, Joseph Ringstad of West Des Moines and Jordan Stull of Ames and one great grandson Izaiah Lewis.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Duane Curtis Stull.
