Obituary for Myldred G. Love

Myldred Love was born July 14, 1918 to William and Viola (Guge) Haynes in Spencer, Nebraska. Myldred attended school in Shipley, Iowa. She married Donald Love on August 28, 1942 in Carlisle, Iowa. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Ames, Gideons International, Women of the Moose, and the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary in Nevada.

Myldred passed away at 98 years of age on July 1, 2017 in Ames.

Myldred is survived by her children, Dale (Jan) Love of Fitchburg, Wisc., Gale (Diane) Love of Ames and Glenda (Don) Ashley of Ames; eight grandchildren, Ricky Love of Ames, Tim (Laura) Love of Kelley, Chris Love of Marshalltown, Kimberly (Jake) Martell of Madison, Wisc., Matthew Love of Fitchburg Wisc., Nicholas (Emily) Love of Milwaukee, Wisc., Aaron (Andrea) Ashley of Ames and Jason Ashley of Ames; and three great-grandchildren, Alicia Love, Austin Love and Dustin Cakerice

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Love, in 1988; her son, Gene Love, in 2014; her brothers, LuVerne Haynes, Bernard Haynes and Virgil Haynes; and her sister, Sylvia Frye.

Adams Funeral Home in Ames is assisting the family with arrangements.
