From Fredergill Family Funeral Home obituary, Collins and Zearing, Story County, Iowa:

Arthur Etnier, 61, of Collins died of cancer on June 2, 2017 at Israel Family Hospice in Ames after a two-year battle with melanoma.

Arthur was born on August 12, 1955 in Marshalltown to Fred and Myrna (Haley) Etnier. He was a truck driver for Z-Line Trucking for 24 years. Arthur was a former pilot, enjoyed helping on the farm, and loved the Kansas City Chiefs and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He was preceded in death by parents and his beloved dog, Zoey. He is survived by his children, Ryan (Ashley) Etnier of Story City and Leslie (Scott) Brownfield of Maxwell; grandchildren, Harper Etnier, Alex Brownfield, Alex Olson, and Emma Olson. There will be a benefit/memorial in Arthur’s honor on Friday, June 16 from 5-10 pm at the Maxwell Community Center in Maxwell. Burial of the cremated remains will be later in the Collins Cemetery. We will miss Arthur’s wonderful jokes and his hilarious, yet sometimes inappropriate sense of humor.
