Irma Jane Banks, 80 of McCallsburg, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at her home.

Irma was born January 21, 1937, in Collins, the daughter of Harry and Grace (Patterson) Burgess. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1954 and was united in marriage to Gerald Raymond Banks on October 3, 1958, in Marshalltown. Irma was a member of the Maxwell Christian Church. She retired from Donnelly’s Marketing in Nevada and enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading.

Irma is survived by her son, Brian of McCallsburg; and her brother Gale (Susan) Burgess of Grinnell; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother Bruce Burgess; and a sister Karen Burgess.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 15, at the Warren Township Cemetery in McCallsburg.

Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
