Vernon Gamble, young man of Maxwell, died last evening at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gamble, the result of consumption.

The funeral of Vern Roy Gamble was held in the Presbyterian church yesterday, May 9, service being conducted by Rev. J. B. White. A promising career has been cut short by the great white plague. Death came finally as a friend.
