OBITUARY
Death of Mrs. Bailey
Mrs. Sarah Bailey died Tuesday morning, March 5th, at her home on Third Avenue South, after a lingering illness. She was seriously injured by a fall in the early autumn, and her suffering from this cause was followed by pulmonary trouble which terminated her life. She was a woman of many admirable qualities, conspicuous among which was the Christian faith that supported her in the trials of life and the hour of death. She was esteemed by those who knew her, and their aid was a voluntary tribute of regard when it was needed by the sister who cared for her. The funeral will be conducted at the Methodist church Thursday at 2:30 and the burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.
Sarah D. Morgan was born December 15, 1841, in Illinois; and was married March 6, 1861, to Thomas G. Heizer. Mr. and Mrs. Heizer moved to Story county, Iowa, in October of 1871, and for many years lived in Nevada. Three children were born to them--Emma, Frank and Charles. The daughter died in infancy. Frank resides in the north part of the state, whence he has come to attend the funeral; and Charles has retained residence with his mother. Mrs. Heizer, after few years of single life, married December 10, 1883, her neighbor, Mr. Henry Bailey, and her home was for a few years on his farm south of Nevada. Later it was brought to the cottage in town in which she has died. Mr. Bailey passed away December 15, 1901.
