OBITUARY

Death of George Templeton

George Templeton, a bachelor living alone on his farm in Southwest part of Grant township was found Thursday morning by an Ames rural mail carrier on that route at his home in a dying condition. The carrier on arriving at the next house phoned Dr. Aplin of Ames but the Doctor upon his arrival found that life had left the body. Mr. Templeton had lived on the farm for fifteen or twenty years entirely alone. Previous to that time he had been a sailor and had served for several years in the U. S. navy. He was an Englishman by birth and had no near relatives living in this country. It is understood that he left a will giving all his property to the establishment of a Home for the Aged.
