From Nevada Representative November 1, 1906

Lee Nellis, son of Charles Nellis of Cambridge, was killed in an accident recently at Seattle, while watching the unloading of the Santa Ana, a vessel of which he was assistant engineer. He had been on the vessel for about a month, and had distinguished himself by heroism when the Santa Ana was nearly foundered of the dreadful west coast of Vancouver Island a short time before.
