Tuesday, John Clinton, a farmer living west of town in Boone county met with a peculiar accident which proved fatal. It seems he with his hired man was putting a pig over the fence and in some manner Clinton slipped and fell on the boards which caused a rupture and paralysis. He did not regain consciousness and died Friday evening. This is a bad blow for his relatives and friends as John was in the prime of life. He leaves a wife and family.
