Sam Bakka, 91, Roland, died

Sam Bakka, 91, died about 9 a. m. Thursday at his home in Roland.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland with the Rev. Howard Lybeck officiating. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Soderstrum Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Monday.

He is survived by three sons, Herbert, McAllen Tex.; Luke, St. Joseph, Mo., and Cyrus, Ackley; five daughters Mrs. Elvin Rhodes, Marshalltown; Mrs. Irene Slamal, Roland; Mrs. Florence Jacques, Marshalltown, Mrs. Minette Rankin, Orangeville, Calif., and Mrs. Lola Mae Montgomery, Citrus Heights, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie.
