Story county lost one of her old residents Monday afternoon in the death of Mrs. Bodil Sorrenson. Although she was over ninety years old she had been in good health and her death, the immediate cause of which was a fall from her porch, came as a surprise and shock to her friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Sorrenson came to Story county in 1869 from Denmark and lived here until two years ago when Mr. Sorrensen has remained on the place with her son three miles from Nevada. Two children are left Rasmus who lives on the old place and Christiana now Mrs. Peterson of Story City. The funeral was held this afternoon at the house, it being conducted by Rev. J. O. Simon and the remains were laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery.
