Rose Marie Murry, 88, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Madrid Home in Madrid, IA. Services will be held 11:30 am Friday, March 10, 2017, at Garden Prairie Church. Burial will follow at Sheldahl Cemetery in Rural Sheldahl, Iowa.

Rose was born May 3, 1928, in Des Moines, IA, to Earnest and Margareta (Hug) Harmon. She married W. Keith Murry on January 11, 1948, in the Sheldahl United Methodist Church. Together they raised three boys on the family farm along with Ray Gustafson, who became their fourth son.

Rose worked for Walmart for 25 years and was a farm wife for her whole life. She was a member of Ladies Aid, Circle, and Garden Prairie Church.

Rose is survived by her three sons, Ken (Connie) Murry, Ron (Liz) Murry, Jim Murry; six Grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Nibe, Jamie (Shawn) Kleigel, Brandt Murry, Ben Murry, Dakota Murry, and Katy Murry; her great and great great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Carol Harmon. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers, Donald Harmon and John Harmon.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Madrid. Contributions may be made to the Garden Prairie Church and Sheldahl Methodist Church. Online condolences will be welcomed at IlesCares.com.
