S. B. Pizer*

Samuel B. Pizer* died Monday morning, May 2d, at Iowa Center aged nearly seventy-four years and his funeral was conducted Wednesday by his pastor, Rev. Skogsberg. Mr. Pizer had been suffering with grippe but was not confined to his bed and his condition did no cause special apprehension. Monday morning however when his wife went to him he was dead.

Mr. Pizer was a native of Havestock, England; came with his family to Black Hawk county, Iowa in 1870, and to Iowa Center in 1876. His wife and two of his ten children--Mrs. Ross Mathews and Mrs. Lottie Halterman--survive him in Iowa Center. Four others are widely scattered.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The deceased was James B. Pizer, not Samuel B. Pizer as stated.
