OBITUARY
DEATH OF MRS. BOYNTON
Word was received this forenoon of the death of Mrs. Sarah Boynton at the home of her sister in Hartford, Michigan, where she has long been ill. The news occasions no surprise. Going to Michigan last fall for a long-cherished visit to her sister, she was there taken seriously ill, and though in the meantime she has been better and worse there never has been real anticipation of her recovery. She has lingered longer than was supposed to be possible. Her son Marshall, who has been with her through the most of her illness, was with her to the end is expected home with her body next Thursday.
Mrs. Boynton, was the daughter of the Late Seth Hadley, long a well-known farmer of this vicinity and she was born in New Hampshire about 68 years ago. She came to Iowa with her father's family as a girl and the most of her life has been spent in Nevada. After the war she married here Quincy A. Boynton, who had been a soldier in the war and who in 1882 was killed while looking on as an innocent by-stander at some operations incident to the erection of the White & Bamberger building, a fastening breaking and a timber striking him on the head. Mrs. Boynton was thus left as a widow with five boys to all of whom she met her duties most bravely, and who have since grown to manhood. Her sons, all of whom survive her, are Will H. of Nevada, George of Sioux Rapids Frank and Marshall of Nevada and Stephen, who had recently returned to his home in Oregon. These and a host of other relatives and friends will mourn her loss sincerely.
It is expected that the funeral will be held Thursday.
