OBITUARY

Death of Mrs. Alberry

Mrs. H. B. Alberry, long a most estimable resident of this city and county died last Saturday afternoon at the family home in this city and her funeral was conducted Monday afternoon from the Christian church by the pastor, Rev. Shoemaker. Mrs. Alberry's death was the culmination of along and seemingly hopeless illness in the course of which her demise had several times seemed imminent, and the end therefore brings regret rather than surprise.

Minerva B. Barnes was born April 17, 1840 in Alleghany county, New York, and died at Nevada, Iowa February 26, 1910, aged 69 years, 9 months and 29 days. She was married to H. B. Alberry in 1869. and she is survived by the husband and three children, Mrs. Emma Henniman of Baxter, Iowa, O. O. and H. P. Alberry of Nevada, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Jane Park of Putnam, Illinois; three brothers, G. M. and W. D. Barnes of this city and Charles Barnes of Tama, Iowa; and two grandchildren Laura and Lee Henniman of Baxter, Iowa. Mrs. Alberry had been a faithful member of the Church of Christ for many years and was charter member of the Nevada Church of Christ. She was buried beside her father and mother in the Nevada cemetery.
