Heaven received an angel Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. Jane was born in Des Moines to Richard and Colene Katzureck on October 5, 1958.

Jane began working at Youth Emergency Services & Shelter (YESS) as a Business Operations Director in 1996 where she worked up until her passing. She was a great supporter, advocate and champion for YESS in every way. She believed every child needed a safe environment and support system.

Jane was a woman that excelled at many things. She was always extending her knowledge by taking college classes as a hobby. She enjoyed traveling, decorating, painting and was a phenomenal cook.

Jane will be remembered for many things, a few being a loving mother, sister, daughter and friend. She had the most joyful, welcoming, and positive personality and an infectious smile to go along with it. She always put everyone before herself and treated everyone with nothing but kindness and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chuck; parents and her sister, Kathy.

Jane's memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Ashley Leysath of West Des Moines; brothers, Mark (Dottie) Katzureck and Raymond (Wendy) Katzureck; and the "Kids" as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Jane's family will greet friends between 8:30 and 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 22 at Brooks Funeral Care in Clive with a memorial service at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Cumming where she will be laid to rest next to her husband and family.
