Mrs. A. L. Schworm was advised Monday of the death of her father, Mr. George L Gast of LeClair, Scott county, and she left for that place Monday afternoon. Mr. Gast was 70 years of age on December 8 and he died of a short illness with pneumonia. He had been an occasional visitor in Nevada, having been here last about a year ago, and his death will be noted with much regret by many friends here.
