Mrs. Mary Talley, wife of Amanuel H. Talley of thi city, died Wednesday evening November 17, 1909, at the family home on west Court avenue of paralysis. Mrs. Talley had a slight stroke about two years ago; but she had in great part recovered, and although she had hardly been able to do her house-work she had been able to be about the house and to get up town occasionally. While on one of her trips up town she had a second stroke on Wednesday of last week in Ringheim's store, and since then her condition had been critical.

Mary H. C. Freise was of German parentage and was born in Kewanee, Illinois, May 8, 1861. She was married a Camden, Nebraska, to Mr. Talley on November 11, 1880. They continued to live in that state until 1894, when they came to Iowa, residing first in Keokuk and Jefferson counties and coming to Story county in 1902. The lived for five years on the Lash farm near Elwell, and came to Nevada two or three years ago. Mrs. Talley was the mother of thirteen children, of whom ten survive, eight sons and two daughters. She was a most earnest Christian woman, devoted to her home duties, and she will be most sadly missed in her home and by her immediate friends. She was at the time of her death aged 48 years, 6 months and 9 days.

The funeral will be conducted from the Friends Church Saturday at two o'clock by Rev. Batchelor.
