OBITUARY
AN OLD SETTLER PASSES
Lemuel H. Beckley, an old and respected citizen of Story county died Saturday evening, October 9th, at his home a mile west of Cambridge, aged 75 years, 8 months and 5 days, and his funeral was conducted from the U. B. church in Cambridge Tuesday afternoon by Rev. H. C. Hicks. His illness had been of long duration.
Mr. Beckley was a native of Cochocton county, Ohio. He married Delilah Stecher of Knox county, and of their union have been born nine children: John W. who lives in California, Warren who died three years ago, David S. of Maxwell, Geo. C. who lives with his mother on the farm near Cambridge, Charles S. who lives in Sanborn, Allie Clawson of Cambridge, Bertha Wiese of Oklahoma, Effie Scott of Cambridge, and Minnie B. who died in infancy. Mr. Beckley came with his family to Nevada forty two years ago he located upon the farm on which his life closed. Mrs. Beckley survives him. He was brother of Rev. Mr. Beckley, who came to Nevada at an early day and resided in southwest Nevada.
