Stephen Bruce, age 61, of Gravois Mills, Missouri, and formerly of Nevada, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 12 Noon on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada.

Born November 22, 1954, Steve lived and worked in and around Nevada. Steve graduated from Nevada High School with the Class of 1973. He learned one of his many trades from his dad Clarence at Bruce’s Body Shop. Steve relocated to Des Moines where he stayed until 2010. In September, 2010, he moved to enjoy “Lake Life” at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Steve was owner/operator of Premier Vacations at Lake of the Ozarks. Steve loved introducing people to the lake and always had an open home for friends.

Steve is survived by Cathy Bruce; his sister, Bonny (Ray) Callahan; his children, Jacob Bruce and Madeline Parker; a grandson, Zander Parker; his step- sons, Dallas (Lori) and Neil Dlouhy; his dogs Daizee, Homer & Lou; and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Billie Bruce.

Ryan Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Stephen and his family.
