LOUIS E. BOSTON DIED FRIDAY

Louis Emery Boston, the son of Mrs. Patience Boston, a foreman on the Rock Island Railroad, died at his home in Nevada on Friday afternoon after a short illness of the "flu" followed by pneumonia.

The young man, one of the most popular in the employ of the Rock Island Railroad, in this section, has made his home in Nevada for the past two years prior to that living in McCallsburg at the parental home where he was born and raised. A young man of sterling worth, he recognized some years ago the value of a Christian life and jointed the Evangelical church of which he remained a member up to the day of his death.

He was taken ill three weeks ago and flu was rapidly followed by pneumonia which was severe from the first and for over a week, the life was despaired of.

During his fatal illness he devoted mother, as well as his sisters and friends in the fraternal orders did all in their power for the young man, but it was beyond hope almost from the first.

Mr. Boston was prominent in Masonic work, having taken seven degrees and his lodge mates as well as his mother and sisters found in him an ideal friend and companion.

The funeral was held yesterday morning from the home, where a brief service was conducted by Mr. C. C. Root at noon and then the funeral cortege moved on to McCallsburg where the body was laid to at rest in the McCallsburg cemetery under the auspices of the Masonic lodge at Nevada.

He leaves to mourn his loss, a mother, Mrs. Boston, four sisters, Mrs. M. R. Sherwood of Davis City, Nebr., Mrs. Gladys Olson, Miss Mary Boston, Miss Ella Boston and one brother Ralph Boston, all residing with the mother in Nevada.

The many friends of the young man both on the railroad, in the lodge and about the community all extend their sympathy to the family in this, their sad hour.
