Pauline Hester Pearson, 91, of Nevada, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016, at Windsor Manor in Nevada.
Pauline was born September 16, 1925, in Adaza, Iowa the daughter of William Yates and Lennis (Guess) Kinyon. She graduated from Shipley High School in 1943, where she played guard on the basketball team. Pauline was united in marriage to Carrol Pearson on February 23, 1946, in Nevada. Carrol passed away July 10, 2015.
Pauline was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg and enjoyed quilting and playing cards. She prepared countless delicious family meals and baked goods which were much appreciated Pauline loved spending time with her family, especially with her children and grandchildren.
Pauline is survived by her son, Calvin (Cheri) Pearson of Roland, IA; her daughters: Colleen Ann (David) Karnick of Hastings, MN, Carolyn Ann (Stephen) Brandt of Phoenix, AZ and Charlene Ann (Joe) Ferguson of Otho, IA; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Janet Hornbacher of Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters: Phyllis Malmin and Evelyn Thompson.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 13, at Roland Cemetery in Roland. Pauline and Carrol will be laid to rest together.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Story County Senior Care in Nevada.
Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
