Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Pamela “Nan” Koppes passed away unexpectedly October 4, 2016 at her home in Ames, Iowa. Nan was born July 2, 1952 to Thomas and Betty McCann in Ames. She married Joseph Koppes on May 26, 1973. Nan and Joe were blessed with three children, John Alan, Jodi Ann and Kelly Ann

Nan took great passion in caring for her family. Nan was a loving wife and she adored her husband, Joe. According to Joe, Nan was the most beautiful person in the world. Nan was a wonderful mother to her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephew. Nan cared for everyone who she came in contact with and expected nothing in return. Nan was a very selfless person and was considered the rock of the family. Nan was very passionate about her grandchildren and made sure they knew how very special they were.

Nan is survived by her husband, Joe Koppes of Ames; her son, John (Shannon) Koppes of Story City; her daughters, Jodi (Jeff) Koppes-Hokanson of Mitchellville and Kelly Stufflebeam of Nevada; seven grandchildren, Rhianna Koppes, Kaylee Koppes, Max Koppes, Jesse Hokanson, Jami Hokanson, Logan Stufflebeam and Jacob Stufflebeam; her mother, Betty McCann; two brothers, Mark McCann and Denny McCann; her nieces, Cassie Nance, Lisa Weber and Lindsay Fawkes; and her nephew, Thomas McCann.

Preceding her in death was her father, Thomas McCann.

Per Nan’s wishes, there will be no formal services held. Cards and memorials can be sent to Joe Koppes, 3820 Tiverton Ct. Apt. # 206, Ames, IA 50010.

Nan will be missed and cherished by all who knew her.
