Christopher Allan Burgher was born July 19, 1957 to Robert Duncan and Glee Iris (Newman) Burgher in Storm Lake, Iowa. Chris graduated from Ballard High School in 1976 and served in the United States Coast Guard from 1976 to 1980. He worked for Mid American Foundation for 27 years and was currently employed at R & R Investments. His hobbies included model trains and woodworking.

Chris passed away September 3, 2016 at 59 years of age.

Chris is survived by his parents, Robert and Glee Burgher of Huxley; his brothers, Alex (Joan) Burgher of Ames, Greg (Lauri) Burgher of Cedar Rapids and John (Carolyn) Burgher of Council Bluffs; his sister, Bobbi Forst, of Jeffersonville, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Decker.
