Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Paul J. Marsh was born on July 15, 1924 to William Pearl and Helen Izabell (Boots) Marsh in Monticello, Iowa. He served proudly in the United States Navy during WW II and Korea. Paul was the manager of sales for the Buttries shoe departments in Younkers stores. He retired from Emerhoff’s Shoes in Ames. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, VFW, American Legion and very active at Heartland Senior Services.

Paul passed away September 2, 2016 at 92 years of age.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Lori Marsh of Ames; his son, Steven (Teresa) Marsh of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his grandchildren, Chris (Marjan) Torrie, Paul (Meg) Torrie, Nick Marsh, Danny Marsh, Tricia (Chris) Cummings, Michelle (Scott) Moeller, Gwen (Sam Montero) Tripp, Joda (Trisha) Evans, Necole (Loren) Nicholls and Chad (Chrissa) Auestad; his great-grandchildren, Ethan, Maya, Maren, Kaytriel, Cadden, Heather, Donovan, Shane, Collin, Skyler, Shaylynne, Damien, Landon, Devin and Lexie Rose; and a great-grandson this October; his siblings, Dorthy Janssen, Marvin (Joan) Marsh, Kenneth Marsh and Lynn Starks; his sister-in-law, Nancy Marsh (widow of Robert); and very special friend, Millie Cox.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Agnes Rose (Schlimmer) Marsh; his daughters, Marilyn Marsh and Cheryl Torrie; his granddaughter, Carrie; his siblings, Adelia “Red” Marsh Eilers, Bill Marsh, Helen (Philip) “Blackie” Schneider, Robert Marsh and Richard Marsh; and his brother-in-law, Donald Starks.
