Floyd Lafferty

Funeral services for Floyd Lafferty were held at Cooper's Funeral Home, Maxwell, on Sunday, March 30 at 2 p.m. with Rev. David A. Shaeffer officiating.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Virginia Fertig at the organ.

Bearers were Everett Kelderhouse, Wendell, Luing, Forrest Luing, Harold Sinnott, Wes McWherter, Ralph Vasey and Russell Schauper. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Collins.

Floyd Bertian Lafferty, son of Cora E. and John Lafferty was born August 31, 1908 at Colo and died March 27, 1969 at Broadlawns Hospital, Des Moines at the age of 60 yrs., 6 months and 20 days.

He attended schools at Collins graduating with the class of 1927.

He is survived by a daughter, Karen Jesus of Grand Prairie, Texas; three sons, Donald of Grand Prairie, Teas; Larry of Maxwell and Jerry of Des Moines; four grandchildren; three sisters, Vesta, Mrs. Noah Fleet of Collins, Mildred, Mrs. Thayne Evans of Nevada and Velma, Mrs. Ted Richardson of Eldon, Mo.; and three brothers, Forrest of Collins, Ray of Colo, and Ronald of Visalia, Calif.

Mr. Lafferty was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He lived most of his life in Story County.
