OBITUARY

HENRY LARNED.

Henry Larned, an early settler and an old soldier of this county, died at his home northwest of the Northwestern depot Thursday morning and his funeral was conducted this afternoon. He was about 70 years of age and he came to the county when a young man making his home over on East Indian with Wm. McGuire who was one of the prominent citizens of those days. Later he enlisted in Company K of the 22nd Iowa Infantry and served in the army. After the war he lived in the northwestern part of the county and in Nevada, and went from here to Washington and other places, wandering about the country quite a little. Last fall he returned to Nevada and built him a little home, where he ended his days, as was his intent when he returned. He was twice married and leaves six children of his first marriage and two of the second all of them grown.
