Mrs. Lauretta Flater, 73, 405 Lincolnway, died this morning at 3:00 a.m. in the St. Thomas Mercy Hospital in Marshalltown where she had been a patient for a number of weeks.

Funeral services are tentatively set for Monday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic church with Rev. John F. Ryan officiating.

The deceased was born Feb. 6, 1881, near Collins, Ia., a daughter of Michael and Mary Ellen Henrehan. She was married to Sam Flater Feb. 14, 1900. She had been a lifelong member of the Catholic church.

Surviving are the daughters, Mrs. Mary Fry of Sioux City and Mrs. Ray McNaughton of Nevada, one sister, Mrs. Mary McLaughlin of Rockwell, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Flater, Sept. 1, 1913, her daughter, Laura, Mrs. V. L. Penny in 1939 and her brother, Tom Henrehan, Jan 8, 1939.
