Sudden Death.

On Saturday morning gloom spread over the town and community when it was learned that G. S. Worthing, about 69 years of age, father of Mrs. C. H. Stauffacher, who with his daughter Edna came from their home at Anita, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving for a few weeks visit, passed away very suddenly Friday night at 1:45 o'clock, after an illness of only three-quarters of an hour. He had been up town several times during the day doing some shopping, preparatory to making a blackbeard, for his little nephews which he worked at and completed that evening. After the evening meal he played with the children, assisted in putting them to bed, and not until about 10 o'clock did he feel any ill effects. Fifteen minutes after a doctor was called but without avail and in about half an hour more he passed away from the results of acute indigestion and heart failure. On Monday morning the Stauffacher family and Miss Worthing took the remains to Anita were on Wednesday the funeral will be held. The bereaved ones have the deepest sympathy of the entire community and the prayers of all that God may graciously comfort them in this hour of sadness.
