Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Wilma Jean Carlson was born August 3, 1940 to Drexyl and Wynona (Hayes) Woodrow in Oakland, Iowa. Wilma graduated from Oakland High School in 1958. Wilma and Clifford "Cliff" Carlson were married July 6, 1974. Wilma worked at South Story Bank and Trust for many years before going to work at Skinner and Associates in Nevada, Iowa. She was a member of the Slater United Methodist Church where she donated her talents singing with her Trio for many years. She also was a great cook and loved to watch cooking shows and try out the many recipes with her family.

Wilma passed away August 15, 2016 at 76 years of age.

Wilma is survived by her daughters, Paula (Brad) Alleman of Slater and Suzanne (Terry) Weatherman of Huxley; her step-children, Colette (Jack) Ferguson of Riverside, Calif., Kevin Carlson of Madrid and Danette Carlson of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; her grandchildren, Nick Alleman, Kris Alleman, Jesse Weatherman, Jared Weatherman, Chase Carlson, Cody Carlson and Paige Carlson; and her brother, Gordon (Lori) Woodrow of Glenwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cliff; and her infant sister, Doris Arlene.
