Linda (Stangeland) Loux passed away peacefully on August 6, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Linda Loux was born on February 4, 1946 in Clarion, Iowa. Linda was a wonderful mother of two and grandmother of three and she adored all her family. She spent much of her life helping others with disabilities. Linda enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and any new gadget that the cooking world would create. Recently, her favorite pastime consisted of spending time with her dog, Joey, and completing as many crossword games as she could. Her life was cut short after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

Linda is survived by two sons, Joel Stangeland and Marvin (Candy) Hobbs; three grandchildren, Hunter, Broden and Parker Ann; her sisters, Sharon (Bob) Lewis and Lisa (Matt) Larson; her brothers, Ray Stangeland and Don (Pam) Stangeland; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard "Bud" Hobbs; her parents, Lester and Margaret (Yoder) Stangeland; and her sister, Lois Stangeland.
