Mrs. Christina Eide Found Dead in Bed Wednesday Morning

This community was shocked yesterday morning when the news was spread that Mrs. Christina Eide had been found dead in bed, she having died some time during the night from heart failure. Mrs. Eide was in the usual health on Tuesday, having attended the Home-Coming celebration at the park both yesterday afternoon and evening. Yesterday morning when her son, Victor, who is staying at home, got up and did not see his mother around he went into her bedroom and found her cold in death.

Mrs. Eide was 57 years of age at the time of her demise. She leaves to mourn her death two sons, Alexander and Victor and one sister, Mrs. Henrietta Duea. Her husband, J. H. Eide died nine years ago also quite suddenly frm heart failure.

The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Bergens church. Services at the residence at 1:30.

Mrs. Pauline Kristine Eide was born in Stavanger, Norway on August 5, 1862 and died of heart failure at her home in Roland on Wednesday, September 17, being 57 years of age at the time of her death. She came to this country in 1894, coming direct to Roland, which place she has made her home ever since. A year later she was united in marriage to J. H. Eide to which union two sons were born, Alexander and Victor. Her husband died in 1910.

Mrs. Eide was a true Christian woman of the most noble character. She was always kind and rad to give a helping hand to anyone who might be in need. She was a member of the Bergens Lutrheran church and at all times took an active part in the church work. After a busy and useful life she died as she had lived - honored trusted and loved by all who knew her.

She leaves to mourn her death two sons, Alexander and Victor, two sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Duea and Mrs. Qualem of Bergen, Norway.

The funeral was held Friday afternoon from Bergens church. The services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Smedal.
