MARY E. DOOLITTLE

Mary E. Doolittle, 66, of Story City died at the Story City Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning, March 30.

She was born Nov. 21, 1909 at Nevada to Charles and Elizabeth Maroney. On August 20, 1927 she married Clarence Doolittle and they farmed south of Story City in 1971. He died April 11, 1971.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church with burial in the Sheffield, south of Story City.

She is survived by two son, Dennis of Boone and Delano of Gilbert, one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Brubaker of West Union, five grandchildren; also three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Rhodes of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Loretta Jewell of Redwood City, Cal., Mrs. Darlene Thompson of Dexter, and two brothers, Tom Maroney of Ames and Jim Maroney of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother.

The body will lie in state at the Soderstrum-Larson funeral Home until the time of services.
