Michael “Mike” Nicholson, 49, of Mondamin, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

Mike was born May 17, 1967, to Rex Nicholson and Patricia Barnhart. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1985 and was working as a mechanic. Mike was a member of the Isaac Walton League and enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting and fishing.

Mike is survived by his mother, Patricia (Ron) Schaupp; his step-mom, Judy Nicholson; his children: Logan and Sophie Thompson and Oliver and Elias Thompson-Nicholson; his sister, Tammy Nicholson; his brother, James (Julie) Nicholson and nephew, Dillon. Mike was preceded in death by his father; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and five uncles.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Isaac Walton League in memory of Mike.
