Benjamin F. Bedell died at hsim home in Maxwell, January 27, 1914, at the age of ninety year, three months and twenty six days. he was born at Plattsburg, Clinton County, New York October 1, 1823 the youngest son in a family of eight children, and moved with his parents to Lawrence county, New York where he grew up. In 1855 he married Miss Janett Merrihew at Bombay, New York. Six children were born to them of whom five are living. Mrs. Bedell died in 1880 and in 1884 Mr. Bedell married Miss Kate C. Gray who with the six children and six great grandchildren survive him. Mr. and Mrs. Bedell had lived in Mawell since 1890.
